Welcome to CourseHike! Before using our platform and purchasing any pre-recorded courses, please carefully read and understand the following terms and conditions. By accessing our website and making a purchase, you agree to comply with these terms.1. Course Purchase 1.1 Courses are available for individual purchase and are strictly intended for personal use. 1.2 Unauthorized sharing, distribution, or resale of course materials is strictly prohibited. 1.3 CourseHike reserves the right to update course prices, content, and offerings at any time without prior notice.2. Refund Policy 2.1 We offer a 7-day refund policy for all course purchases. 2.2 To be eligible for a refund, you must submit a request within 7 days from the date and time of purchase. Each day will be counted as a 24-hour period from the time of purchase. 2.3 Refund requests should be submitted through our designated refund request form. 2.4 Approved refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days. 2.5 After the 7-day period, you will no longer be eligible for a refund.3. Access to Course Content 3.1 Your access to purchased course content is guaranteed for a period of five (5) years from the date of purchase. 3.2 As a complimentary benefit, we provide access to courses for the lifetime of our platform’s operation; however, this is not an obligation. 3.3 CourseHike reserves the right to update, modify, or remove course content at its sole discretion. 3.4 You are strictly prohibited from downloading, recording, or sharing course videos without explicit written permission. 3.5 If a purchased course is removed within 5 years of your purchase, CourseHike will issue a refund. However, if 5 years have passed, CourseHike is not responsible for refunds or continued access.4. User Conduct 4.1 You agree to use our platform and access course content in a lawful and ethical manner. 4.2 You must not engage in any activity that may disrupt, damage, or compromise the functionality or security of our website. 4.3 Unauthorized attempts to access restricted areas of our platform or interfere with other users’ experiences are strictly prohibited. 4.4 Misuse of the platform, including sharing login credentials, will result in account suspension or termination.5. Intellectual Property Rights 5.1 All course materials, including videos, documents, and other resources, are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. 5.2 You are not permitted to copy, reproduce, distribute, or modify any course content without prior written consent from CourseHike. 5.3 Course materials may not be used for commercial purposes without explicit authorization.6. Privacy Policy 6.1 We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information. 6.2 By using our platform, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal data as outlined in our Privacy Policy. 6.3 We do not share personal information with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.7. Disclaimers 7.1 Our courses are provided on an “as-is” basis, and CourseHike makes no guarantees regarding learning outcomes. 7.2 CourseHike does not guarantee job placement, certifications, or skill mastery upon course completion.8. Account Termination 8.1 CourseHike reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms and conditions. 8.2 Accounts terminated due to policy violations will not be eligible for refunds or reinstatement.9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction 9.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India. 9.2 Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of India. 9.3 If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain valid and enforceable.By using our platform and purchasing our courses, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
For Mentor:
Thank you for your interest in becoming a mentor on CourseHike. These terms and conditions outline the expectations and guidelines for mentors who submit courses on our platform. By submitting a course, you agree to adhere to these terms.
Course Submission: 1.1 As a mentor, you can submit courses on topics that you are knowledgeable about and have expertise in. 1.2 Courses should be well-structured, informative, and engaging to provide value to our students.
Copyright and Ownership: 2.1 You must have the legal right to submit and offer the course content. This includes text, images, videos, audio, graphics, and any other materials used in your course. Plagiarism, unauthorized use of copyrighted materials, and any violation of intellectual property rights are strictly prohibited. 2.2 By submitting a course, you grant CourseHike a non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, distribute, and display the course content on our platform. This license allows us to promote, market, and make the course available to students who purchase it. 2.3 You are prohibited from using copyrighted images, videos, music, or other media without proper authorization. Any images, videos, or other media used should be original, copyright-free, or properly licensed. 2.4 You must not include any logos, brand names, or trademarks in your course content that you do not have the legal right to use. Misleading students about affiliations with brands is strictly prohibited. 2.5 Do not use any materials from published works, academic sources, or third-party sources without proper authorization. If permission is obtained, cite the source and provide proof upon request. 2.6 Use only legally authorized music, such as copyright-free, Creative Commons licensed, or purchased music. 2.7 Properly attribute third-party content as per licensing terms and maintain documentation of all permissions. 2.8 While fair use and educational use may apply, ensure compliance with legal and ethical guidelines. 2.9 You are solely responsible for any copyright infringement or intellectual property violations. CourseHike disclaims any liability but will take appropriate action if a violation is reported. 2.10 If a copyright infringement issue results in course removal, the mentor/instructor will be responsible for repaying the full amount they received from that course. CourseHike has an ethical responsibility to refund students in such cases. However, refunds will only be applicable if the student has not consumed the course or if they purchased it less than three years ago.
Course Quality: 3.1 Course videos should have clear video and audio quality. 3.2 Courses should meet professional standards and provide accurate, up-to-date information. 3.3 Avoid making false promises or exaggerated claims about course outcomes.
Content Quality: 4.1 Course materials should be original, well-organized, and error-free. 4.2 Offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content is strictly prohibited.Revenue Sharing and Payment: 5.1 We operate on a 70-30 revenue-sharing model (Mentor 70%, CourseHike 30%). 5.2 Applicable taxes and payment gateway fees will be deducted before revenue distribution. 5.3 Earnings are locked for 10 days after the refund policy period before becoming withdrawable. 5.4 The minimum withdrawal amount is Rs.5000 or equivalent currency units. 5.5 Withdrawals are processed according to our payment schedule and available methods.
Course Updates: 6.1 Mentors must keep course content updated and relevant. 6.2 CourseHike reserves the right to request updates for quality maintenance.
Promotion and Marketing: 7.1 We promote courses on our platform. 7.2 Mentors may promote their courses externally within our guidelines.
Removal and Refund Policy:
8.1 CourseHike reserves the right to remove or suspend your course if it violates our terms, quality standards, or for any other reason deemed necessary, including but not limited to copyright infringement.
8.2 In the event of a course removal, any earnings related to that course may be withheld or adjusted.
8.3 CourseHike believes in fairness and will refund students if a course is removed due to copyright issues or other policy violations. However, since the mentor receives the majority of the course earnings, they will also be responsible for refunding the amount paid by students, as their copyright infringement or violation has caused the removal.
Governing Law: 9.1 These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved in Indian courts.
